 caused by the changes by Joomla!^® 3.5.1 there is another bugfix version 1.3.2 of BwPostman:

• With Joomla!^® 3.5.1 there occurred problems while registering or editing subscribers email address. With the new 1.3.2 of BwPostman this is fixed.
• If folder media (commonly images) was renamed in the options of media, it occurred problems with attachment and thumbnails of templates. Now it works again.
• If a user was logged in, which has no subscription, there occurred problems at registering form. Now no more.
• With Joomla!^® 3.5.1 creating of some language strings has changed. With this they were not found in the language files. The languages files now are adjusted to the new behaviour.
• At the list of subscribers in the back end male was not shown. Even now.
• I have refined the trigger for the plug-in for the enhanced personalisation, for that not as much data has to be transported.

What's next at my to-do list?

There has changed nothing.

The plug-in for the enhanced personalisation works in its basic functions, next comes the finishing touch.

The appointment for the next planned version remains at end of September 2016.  The plug-in for the enhanced personalisation comes faster, that is clear now. Naturally I will inform You with this newsletter, if it is published.

Once again here is a hot tip, that concerns Joomla!^® itself:

By security reasons one should change the database of Joomla!^® to UTF-8-Multibyte support! Joomla!^® itself only supports UTF-8. Because of this the Zero-Day-Exploit at last December was possible. With Multibyte it didn't happen. More You can read at OSTraining, even how to change.

Finally as usual my call for support:

I would illustrate the manual of BwPostman (PDF and web), because a picture paints a thousand words. But that is a lot of work and really not my core competence, to put it mildly. Here each help is more than welcome!

Perhaps You fell called on helping my tester and me? You have ideas to usability? Or new proposals, how to improve BwPostman? Just give it to me! By thread in the forum, preferably at the bug tracker http://bugtracking.boldt-webservice.de/. or by Mail. I don't only understand German, but English also, but that's it.

 aufgrund der Änderungen in  Joomla!^® 3.5.1 gibt es auch noch eine Bugfix-Version 1.3.2 von BwPostman:

• Mit Joomla!^® 3.5.1 traten auch Probleme beim Registrieren und Ändern der Mailadresse des Abonnenten auf. Mit der neuen 1.3.2 von BwPostman ist das behoben.
• Wenn der Medienordner (üblicherweise images) in den Optionen der Medien geändert wurde, gab es Probleme mit dem Anhang und den Thumbnails der Templates. Das funktioniert auch wieder.
• Wenn ein Besucher angemeldet war, der kein Abonnement hatte, geb es Probleme beim Registrierungsformular. Jetzt nicht mehr.
• Mit Joomla!^® 3.5.1 wurde das Erstellen verschiedener Sprachstrings geändert. Damit wurden sie in den Sprachdateien nicht mehr gefunden. Die Sprachdateien sind nun auf das neue Verhalten angepasst.
• In der Liste der Abonnenten im Backend wurde männlich nicht angezeigt. Jetzt schon.
• Ich habe den Trigger für das Plugin zur erweiterten Personalisierung verfeinert, damit da nicht so viele Daten transportiert werden.

Was steht als nächstes auf meiner ToDo-Liste?

Da hat sich nichts geändert.

Das Plugin für die erweiterte Personalisierung steht bereits in der Grundfunktion, jetzt kommen die Feinarbeiten.

Der Termin für die nächste geplante Version bleibt bei Ende September 2016. Das Plugin für die erweiterte Personalisierung kommt früher, das steht nun auch fest. Ich informiere dich selbstverständlich über diesen Newsletter, wenn es veröffentlicht ist.

Hier wieder einmal ein heißer Tipp, der dieses Mal Joomla!^® selbst betrifft:

Aus Sicherheitsgründen sollte man die Datenbank von Joomla!^® auf UTF-8-Multibyte-Unterstützung umstellen! Joomla!^® selbst stellt nur die UTF-8-Unterstützung bereit. Daher war auch der Zero-Day-Exploit vom letzten Dezember möglich. Mit Multibyte wäre das nicht passiert. Näheres kannst Du bei OSTraining erfahren, auch wie man das umstellt.

Und wie gewohnt hier noch mein Hilfeaufruf:

Ich hätte auch gerne Bilder im Handbuch zu BwPostman (PDF und Web), denn ein Bild sagt bekanntlich mehr als tausend Worte. Aber das ist eine Menge Arbeit und nicht so meine Kern-Kompetenz, um es gelinde auszudrücken. Hier ist mir jede Hilfe mehr als willkommen!

Vielleicht fühlst Du dich ja berufen, meinem Tester und mir ein wenig unter die Arme zu greifen?  Hast Du Ideen zur Usability, also der Bedienbarkeit? Oder neue Vorschläge, wie man BwPostman noch weiter verbessern kann? Nur her damit! Per Thread im Forum, am liebsten im Bugtracker http://bugtracking.boldt-webservice.de/. oder, wenn es nicht anders geht, dann auch per Mail.
