BwPostman 3.1.5 is published This release has some more changes than the last ones. Now You are able to select which layout to use at front end at the options of the component. Browsing the pages at the front end is working again. At module overview a calculating failure for the start date is removed and some flaws at the language files are corrected.

New

At the options of the component now You are able to select, which layout is to use at the front end. This simplifies the selection of the used layout significantly for the user, but also program internal now it is simpler to handle. An override of the layouts the usual way certainly is possible. 

Improvements

The plugin BwLibRegister now is installed at first part of the package. This cares for stable installation and update of BwPostman, but also at de-installation now no problems occur.

The filtering of values at importing subscribers is improved. This leads to more secure imports, insecure values now have a rough ride to get into database.

At saving tables the processing of columns, which needs to be handled with CDATA, is improved and simplified. With this restoring of the backup is more stable and secure.

Bugfixes

Pagination at front end now works again. The new caching on Joomla showed up problems.

At module overview a calculating failure for the start date is removed, if You entered a value greater 0 at field # months, this is if You don't want all months at the list. If the interval to display contained a February and the current date was a 29. or 30., February was not counted.

The tool-tip for published at the sent newsletters got a better understandable and correct text.

The language files got some missing language strings, some typos are corrected.

Finally as usual my call for support:

Do You perhaps use BwPostman in another language? Or would You do so? Translators are always welcome! Meanwhile there is a project BwPostman at Transifex and now it is easier than ever to help translating. You only need an account at Transifex. Then I am able to invite You to the team. If You already have an account at Transifex, the You are able to ask directly for acceptance to the team for one or more languages.

I would illustrate the manual of BwPostman (PDF and web), because a picture paints a thousand words. But that is a lot of work and really not my core competence, to put it mildly. Here each help is more than welcome!

Perhaps You feel called on helping my tester and me? You have ideas to usability? Or new proposals, how to improve BwPostman? Just give it to me! BwPostman 3.1.5 ist veröffentlicht. Dieses Release hat wieder ein paar Änderungen mehr als die letzten Releases. Man kann nun in den Optionen der Komponente einstellen, welches Layout im Frontend verwendet werden soll. Das Blättern im Frontend funktioniert nun auch wieder. Im Modul Übersicht ist ein Rechenfehler für das Startdatum beseitigt und es sind einige Fehler in den Sprachdateien behoben worden.

Neu

In den Optionen der Komponente kann man jetzt einstellen, welches Layout im Frontend verwendet werden soll. Dies vereinfacht die Auswahl des verwendeten Layouts für den Anwender erheblich, aber auch Programm-intern wird es einfacher. Ein Override der Layouts in der gewohnten Form ist natürlich weiter möglich.

Verbesserungen

Das Plugin BwLibRegister wird nun als erstes im Paket installiert. Das sorgt für eine stabilere Installation und ein stabileres Update von BwPostman, aber auch bei der Deinstallation treten nun keine Probleme mehr auf.

Das Filtern der Daten beim Import von Abonnenten wurde verbessert und damit die Sicherheit von BwPostman erhöht. Unsichere Daten haben es jetzt deutlich schwerer, in die Datenbank zu gelangen.

Bei der Sicherung der Tabellen wurde die Bearbeitung von Spalten, die mit CDATA behandelt werden müssen, verbessert und vereinfacht. Damit läuft auch die Wiederherstellung der Sicherung deutlich stabiler und sicherer.

Bugfixes

Das Blättern im Frontend funktioniert nun wieder. Das neue Caching von Joomla hatte hier Probleme bereitet.

Im Modul Übersicht ist ein Rechenfehler für das Startdatum beseitigt, wenn man im Feld # Monate eine Zahl größer 0 angegeben hat, also nicht alle Monate in der Liste haben wollte. Wenn das anzuzeigende Intervall ein Februar enthielt und das aktuelle Datum der 29. oder 30. war, ist der Februar hinten runter gefallen.

Der Tooltip für veröffentlichen bei den versendeten Newslettern hat einen besser verständlichen und korrekten Text bekommen.

Die Sprachdateien haben fehlende Sprachstrings bekommen, Tippfehler wurden bereinigt.

Und wie gewohnt hier noch mein Hilfeaufruf:

Verwendest Du BwPostman vielleicht in einer anderen Sprache? Oder würdest es gerne? Übersetzer sind jedenfalls immer gerne gesehen! Da es BwPostman jetzt auch bei Transifex gibt, ist es noch einfacher geworden mitzuhelfen. Du benötigt dazu nur einen Account bei Transifex. Dann kann ich Dich ins Team einladen. Wenn Du schon einen  Account bei Transifex hast, dann kannst Du auch direkt die Aufnahme ins Team für eine oder mehrere Sprachen anfragen.

Ich hätte auch gerne Bilder im Handbuch zu BwPostman (PDF und Web), denn ein Bild sagt bekanntlich mehr als tausend Worte. Aber das ist eine Menge Arbeit und nicht so meine Kern-Kompetenz, um es gelinde auszudrücken. Hier ist mir jede Hilfe mehr als willkommen!

Vielleicht fühlst Du dich ja berufen, meinem Tester und mir ein wenig unter die Arme zu greifen?  Hast Du Ideen zur Usability, also der Bedienbarkeit? Oder neue Vorschläge, wie man BwPostman noch weiter verbessern kann? Nur her damit!
